1. Complete Candy Statistics Activity Lesson 1. Go over a few practice problems as they relate to Bernoulli's Process and Bayes' Theorem. Bernoulli's Process:
Bayes' Theorem: A container is full of Dots. Jon dumped 40% of the total Dots in the container, 5% which were orange. Michael dumped 33% of the total Dots in the contain, 10% which were orange. Keri's Dots made up the rest, 3% which were orange. What is the likelihood (in percentage) of randomly drawing one of Jon's orange Dots? Bill's company purchases tires from 3 different stores. Store A supplies 70% of the tires and has defective tires .5% of the time. Store B supplies 20% of the tires and has defective tires 1.5% of the time. Sore C supplies the rest of the tires and has defective tires 50% of the time. What is the probability (in percentage) that a given defective tire has come from store B? 2. We will have a quiz on calculating statistics and probability next class.
